“Beauty is a key to the mystery and a call to transcendence. It is an invitation to savor life and to dream of the future. That is why the beauty of created things can never fully satisfy. It stirs that hidden nostalgia for God which a lover of beauty like Saint Augustine could express in incomparable terms: ‘Late have I loved you, beauty so old and so new: late have I loved you!' ”
Saint John Paul II
Letter to Artists, #16
As a worshipping community, all of us at Saint Anthony's are called to full, active, and conscious participation in our liturgies through song, prayer, silence, and gesture. Some are called to specific liturgical ministries to serve as Sacristans, Ushers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and other roles within the liturgy. Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to use the talents and gifts that God has given you to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries. See Liturgical Ministries under worship for more information.
