“I had the great blessing of growing up in a family in which faith was lived in a simple, practical way. However, it was my paternal grandmother in particular who influenced my journey of faith. She was a woman who explained to us, who talked to us about Jesus, who taught us the Catechism....This is how I received my first Christian proclamation, from this very woman, from my grandmother! This is really beautiful! The first proclamation at home, in the family!”

Here at St. Anthony's, it is our privilege to offer Christ’s preferential attention to senior parishioners, affectionately known as "The Tonies". They are our seasoned elders and advisors to the Pastor and parish community. Contact Gwendolyn Means at [email protected] if you are interested in joining their group.
Anyone who is suffering prolonged illness or who is homebound due to age or physical limitations can contact the parish office at 202-246-5459. They will bring Holy Eucharist and help to schedule visits from a priest for reception of other sacraments.
